Linda Thywissen

Office Manager

Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.

Difficult goes too, never give up. Often things don't come naturally and you have to persevere to reach your goal. For example, in my first year of further studies I had 7 retakes, but thanks to my perseverance I managed to get through the years after with hardly any retakes. When things are a little off, you just have to try harder. And in addition, even if everything is going well, you have to keep applying yourself, keep learning and keep going for it every day.

Hi! My name is Linda and I get to fill the most versatile job of all on our team: Office Manager. That can range from processing invoices, taking care of personnel-related matters (yes, that includes cuddling our sweet Georgie) to making sure the atmosphere and coziness in the office is great and so much more. How would I describe myself? Helpful, eager to learn, practical and social. Want to know more? Then read on quickly!

Did you know that I don't have one particular talent?

Everyone has a great talent, a deep passion or a great hobby, but not me. Rather, you can describe me as a jack-of-all-trades. I like to do everything at once and can jump from one task to another without much difficulty. If I had to attribute one talent to myself, it would be organization. Organizing has always been one of my strengths. A party for friends, a staff party for 200 people, an external training, be my guest.

Did you know that I studied in Leuven?

During my undergraduate studies in Communication Studies, I became more and more interested in business, marketing and languages. With that, the choice for my master was quickly made, namely Business Communication. I focused on French and Dutch and chose consumer behavior and online marketing as electives. Who would have ever thought that I would end up as Office Manager at a digital marketing agency such as Digitong? A job where I can use all my knowledge and organizational skills in a company in a sector I find very interesting. You don't have to ask me twice!

Did you know that nature is my escape from reality is?

After a work day you can find me with family and friends. Having something to eat together, walking around, going out on a terrace, a nice party, you name it. For the ultimate relaxation I go to the mountains every year. If possible, once in the winter for (après)skiing and once in the summer for hiking to the top or mountain hut. The sun on my skin, mountain air, nature that amazes me, the sound of running streams or crunching snow, that is real relaxation. Will you and your company climb to the top with Digitong and me?

1974 Maybe the first thing I saw in 1974 was something about Philips having a banner year that year. Lamps, clean clothes or music? Certainly something about washing machines, they were on the rise then. Or was it something from the Ramones popping through the Philips speakers? Could be...
